NOTE: This was in my stash for a long ass time so I thought I should just release it. DOES NOT MEAN I SHALL CONTINUE WRITING ANY STORIES SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK

You were in your quiet little house looking out of the window, heavy rain bouncing onto your living room window. You only saw a few cars driving by, their headlights blazing through the storm. You smiled as you touched the glass with your forehead, taking in the coolness. You actually enjoyed the rain. It always gave you a chill that you liked. You exhaled onto the glass causing it to fog up a bit. You took your finger and drew a skull on the window. Suddenly, your house phone rang. You stood up and went for the phone.

"Hello?" You heard cheering and yelling through the earpiece.

"WASSUP (NAME)!!! IT'S THE AMAZING HERO!!!!!" You cringed at the volume that Alfred was yelling.

"Tone it down, Alfred. Why are you calling me?" You heard Alfred chuckle nervously.

"Well, I'm at the bar with a friend and I kinda....need help?" You groaned. You knew exactly who Alfred was talking about. There was only one man who would cause enough trouble at a bar to make the "hero" ask for help.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright, where is he?!" Everyone stared at your outburst. You arrived to the bar, a bit piss that your time of peace was ruined. You then turned your head to the counters and face-palmed. There was Arthur, standing tall and proud while waving his butt in the air, not caring about the weird looks he was receiving. You groaned and headed straight for the counter. There, you saw Alfred and growled menacingly.
"Alright, what happen?" Alfred shrugged.
"We just came to the bar and he said it was on him so I thought we could have a contest, ya know?"
"Yet, you already know what happens when he gets drunk." Alfred gave you a nervous smile, in fear of you're growing resentment towards the American. .
"Oi, (Name) forget the numbnut. You better take my damn brother somewhere else. He's ruining business." You turned to see Allistor, Arthur's big brother, washing a few beer cups wearily . You rolled your eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, I know! Alfred, help me with-" Alfred was already out the door when you turned to him. You groaned and  kicked the nearest stool.
"That son of a dick. When I get my hand on him..." You continued grumbling things that slightly frighten the Scottish bartender. You felt arms wrapped around you.
"(NAME)! You came! I missed you~! Let's go on an adventure to Candy Land!" You sighed and pat Arthur on the head.
"Yes, yes. Let's do that, but first I gotta get you home." You looked at Allistor.
"Would you mind if you could help me with him?" Allistor scoffed.
"Hell no, that brother of mine has already caused enough trouble for me. Better if he just left." You shook your head and proceed to half carrying Arthur out the bar.
"Things I do for you." You felt Arthur snuggled onto you.
"You smell so nice." You felt like slamming your head on a wall, a bit embarrassed by the sudden statement. Arthur was always flirtatious when he was drunk. Not that it helped you in anyway possible. You were about to open your car door when you felt Arthur getting off of you.
"Hey, don't move or-" Too late. Arthur, still drunk, fell facedown on the wet and muddy ground. You began slamming your head on your car, earning weird looks by midnight walkers.. This was going to be a long night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You manage to get Arthur into the car. In the driver seat, you were driving in a steady speed. It was raining so there was a big chance of a crash if you went any faster. Then there was the drunk Arthur in the seat next to you who could do the most unexpected. Right now, he was singing Barbie Girl except he forgot some of the lyrics so he started jumble some up. It was a big headache but you manage to arrive to his house.

You got out of the car and proceed to getting Arthur out. Luckily, you didn't drop him. However, when you reached to the door, Arthur suddenly vomited on the ground. It narrowly missed you, but the smell was evident. You looked up at the sky, asking who the hell up there on why was she even doing this. Today wasn't your day.

You reached for Arthur's back pocket to get his house keys. You then unlocked and opened the door, proceeding to carry Arthur inside. You sighed and dropped Arthur on the couch. You stared at him in pity. His clothes were messy and soiled with mud, vomit and beer. He didn't smell great either. His hair lost it's usual shine. His eyes were half open and you can barely see the bright emeralds that you were so used to seeing. You looked at the time. It was late and you should be heading home right now, yet you didn't want to leave Arthur, leaving him so pathetic. You gave out an exasperate sigh and smiled sadly.

'Alright, what to do first?' You looked around the house for a mop and bucket. You decided to clean the mess that Arthur made outside. It took awhile to get the stench out but the rain helped a bit. You then got back inside the house. Arthur seemed to have rolled himself off the couch.

"Alright, time to clean yourself up, Arthur." You heard him mumble something. You grabbed one of Arthur's arms and pulled him up. He had difficulty standing up but you managed to get his balance correct. You led him to the bathroom.

"Alright, stay here and I'll get you some clothes." You headed for his room. It was a neat orderly space with a drawer, a desk, one medium bed and a closet. You went through his drawers, looking for some clothes for Arthur. You passed some of his undergarments.

"So, he's a boxer guy? Huh." You manage to get a clean t-shirt, some black pajama pants, and boxers. You went back to the bathroom and set the clothes down.

"Alright, you take a bath and I'll put away some stuff." You turned on the water and left. You were heading for the kitchen when you heard a crash.

"Shit." You raced toward the bathroom and you stifled a laugh. Arthur was on the ground in an unusual mess. He seemed to have trouble getting off of his clothes. You helped him up. Arthur began to cling on you like a baby.

"(Name)," he whined, "can you help me..." You sighed.

"Man, you seriously owe me." You got him to stand by himself as you began helping him out of his clothes. You figured out that Arthur was beginning to be sober but he still wasn't coordinated to do things by himself. You unbutton his shirt and noticed his slim smooth body....

"GAH!" You jumped.

'No, (Name) No staring!' You face-palmed. You continued unbuttoning the shirt, your face in a red scowl. Arthur was topless. Next was his pants. You rubbed the bridge of your nose with your fingers, a bit irritated of your position.

"I think you should take it from here" Arthur was stripping in pants but he kept wobbling around, so close to falling down, again. You growled and helped balance Arthur, trying to not look down. When he got that off, you immediately left the room, not wanting to see anything else. You collapsed onto the couch. Things you did for him. If you weren't his best friend, you would have ditched him. You sighed. And you thought you were going to enjoy a quiet night at home. You blew a couple of hair strands from your face. You heard a bang and a yelp.

'Not again!' You went back to the bathroom. Arthur was laying sprawled on the floor of the shower. Great, he can't even take a simple bath without help. Trying not to look past his upper torso, you tried to find a way to clean him up without seeing what should not be seen.

"What to cover up..." You headed back to Arthur's room. You began looking through his stuff, trying to get some plan. You then noticed a pair of swimming trunks.

'Perfect' You could have Arthur wearing these and help him wash up. You then found a plastic stool and headed back to the bathroom. You gave Arthur the swimming trunks and ordered him to put them on. You then put the stool in the bathtub and had Arthur sit on it. Using the shower hose, you sprayed water all over his head, getting it nice and wet. You then got a bottle of shampoo and started pouring it over his head. Slowly, you began to massage and lather his hair. It felt unusual to be in our position but it was also quite calming. You were slowly rubbing his scalp, getting the suds over his head. You finally got the hose again and began getting all the shampoo off his hair. You were careful not to get it in his eyes by tilting his head back. You saw his face and smiled. Arthur was looking very serine, almost like a sleeping child.

 You got the shampoo off and it was time to clean the rest of him. You poured soap all over him and got out a bath brush. You began scrubbing his body gently but firmly, making sure that when you were done, he wouldn't be smelly. It was difficult since Arthur was a bit limp so you had to lift his limbs to clean him correctly. After you were done with that, you got the hose again and started washing the suds off of him. You also used a wash cloth to make him a bit more clean. You heard him sigh in content. It made you smile.

Finally you were done. You helped Arthur out of the tub. You got a big clean towel and started drying him up. Arthur just stood there, still a bit drunk and dazed. You were slowly drying his hair when Arthur let out a small sneezed. You chuckled. He looked exactly like a little child. You then ordered him to take his swimming trunks off and put on his boxers and other clothes. You continued helping him putting on his shirt. At last, Arthur was cleaned up and you were ready to take him to bed.

"Alright Arthur, let's get you to bed." Arthur whined like a child.

"I don't wanna, (Name) I'm not tired!" You patted Arthur's head like you were with a child.

"Now, now. You had a big day. It's time for sleepy time, okay?" Arthur grumbled and nodded.

You led Arthur to his room and laid him down on the bed. You put his sheets over him and smiled.

"Good night Arthur." You turned to go but a hand grabbed yours. You turned around.

"Something wrong?"

"(Name) don't leave me, please." You raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean by that?" Arthur pulled you closer to the bed. You heard sniffling.

"J-Just don't leave me alone. I don't want to be alone. It hurts." You noticed tears coming down slowly from his face. Your eyes widen. It was the first time that you ever seen Arthur cried. It wasn't natural. You were used to seeing him glaring or blushing when he was upset, but seeing him cry.......it gave you a feeling of emptiness.

"I-I'm not going to leave you Arthur. You're my friend." You heard Arthur scoffed slightly. He let go of your hand and shifted in his bed.

"Everyone leaves me behind, even friends. No one likes me. My older brother hates me and doesn't want to do anything involve with me. He regrets that I'm his brother. I helped took care of Alfred but look at us now. He doesn't even want to be with me, wants to be free and such. People who I take care off end up leaving me, telling me that they have had enough of me. I can't even have a steady relationship with my old girlfriend. Chelles ditch me for that frog face. Says he's better looking and all."

You frowned. You remembered Arthur's ex-girlfriend, Chelles. She was a nice girl but she was too carefree, not the best choice for Arthur's girlfriend. It wasn't a surprise when she broke up with him.

"See! Everyone just wants to get away from me. I'm the dirt of this world. No one ever wants to stay with me. Even you will leave me one day."

"Arthur, what makes you say that?" Arthur put slowly brought his right arm on top of his eyes, hiding it from your view. However, it did not stop the tears from falling from his face. You were tempted to wipe them off.

"When I sleep and wake up, you won't be here. You'll be at your house." You sighed.

"I'm not going to leave. I'll be right here, I promise." Arthur was silent but in his mind, he didn't take your words. He knew you were going to leave when he slept. There was no way out of it. Slowly, sleep began to consume him. You saw that Arthur was sleeping and exhaled. You turned for the door out the room. You took one last look at Arthur and left.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arthur slowly began to wake up. He sat up with a huge headache.
"God, I'm never going to drink again...." Arthur looked at the time. It was 4 in the morning. He put some effort on remembering what happened last night. He remembered you helping him home and giving him a bath. Arthur went pink at the memory. He then remembered what happened before he slept. He remembered asking you not to leave his side. Obviously you weren't here and you have left for home. Arthur grumbled in pain from the hangover and in depression, as he was a bit hopeful that you would stay. Arthur sighed and got the covers off him. He got off of the bed and stepped on something soft and fell face first hard on to the ground.
"Arrghh!!!" "OWW!!!!" Arthur lifted his face up in pain. It did not make his hangover better. Arthur heard a voice behind him.
"Man, you gotta what where you're going. My chest isn't something to step on." Arthur turned around to see you on the ground in a sleeping bag. His eyes widen.
"(NAME)?! What the hell are you doing on the ground?!" You groaned.
"I was trying to imitate a dried up blow fish. What did you think I was doing?!"
"I-I thought you went home already!" You rolled your eyes.
"Well, you told me to stay here with you so I just got one of your sleeping bags in your garage and came back in your room to sleep." Arthur stuttered.
"Y-You did?"
"Of course, I promised, didn't I?"
"I-I guess you did, I just didn't think you meant it...." You grinned.
"You're my friend, why the hell would I lie to you." Arthur smiled in content. It almost got him to forget his headache. Almost...
Arthur was still wincing from the pain. You looked at him in worry.
"What me to help you with the hangover?" Arthur groaned and could barely nod. You helped Arthur stand up and got him into the kitchen. You gave him a glass of water and began cooking over the oven. You manage to get him some biscuits, egg, and sausages. You put some on two different plates and gave on of the plates to Arthur. He thanked you and began eating. You ate your plate. It was silent for the whole time. By the time you finished, Arthur was already done, taking the time to watch you eat. You took both plates and began cleaning up, a bit self-conscious of yourself. Arthur just sat in his seat, not knowing what to do. He wasn't used to the feeling that was bubbling up in his chest. It was warm, full, making him feel full of content.
Suddenly, he let out a yawn. You turned around, an eyebrow up in question. Arhur looked back sheepishly. He was still tired, only getting 5 hours of sleep. His eyes were getting droopy.It was better if he went to sleep again. He stood up and stretched, reveiling his lean abdomen to you, who was pretty happy with the view.
"I'm going to continue sleeping. Still abit out of it. what about you?" You looked at the time, andrubbed your eyes. It did sound good to sleep a bit more. You looked at Arthur and nodded. Both of you walked towards the bedroom, getting tired with each second. Arthur crawled on to his bed, getting under the blankets. You stood in his room, a bit awkward of the situation. You shooked your head mentally, getting a hold of yourself.
You were about to get down to the ground when suddenly, Arthur grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him. You fell right into the bed, surprised to do anything. Arthur wrapped his arms around your waist and sighed in content. You laid there, a bit nervous, but nevertheless happy.
"Um..Arthur? What are you doing?"
"Sleeping."
"You know I can sleep on the ground."
"No, I want you here. I can't just leave you on the ground, love. What kind of man am I if I did?"
"Are you serious?" You heard Arthur chuckled. You turned your head to face him, seeing his sleepy green eyes. He smiled lazily and kissed you on the forehead. Your cheeks went hot, but you turned your head, accepting your little predicament. You felt Arthur snuggle onto your head, kissing your hair. You smiled and snuggled right back into his body, feeling warm and happy. He hugged you tighter. As you drifted off to sleep, you whispered a few last words.
"Hey, Arthur, I don't think I'll ever leave you." Arthur's heart skipped a beat.The last thing you heard were 2 words by your ear.
"Thank You"
So this was in my stash and I decided to release it. I'm not going to continue submitting any stories but maybe just some already in my stash.
So I wanted to try and write a story that didn't have the usual "kissing" or "i love you" I wanted to build a romance base on interaction and connection. I love romance that takes its time to build, making sure the connection works both ways. I hope you enjoyed it as much I did writing it.
